Neurographic art

In my Art-journal I made some Neural Art drawings. This one was the first, just made after some pictures in Pinterest. It was also a test for the used paper in my Art-journal. And so you can see the paper is not so good, the ink flows a bit out and is grainy. The colors were made with some cheap paint-markers, but the were a dried out. Ik have painted them again with my ecoline markers. I also used some gold in a few places. The paper became also a bit wobbly. Alice

Art-journal 1

Started with a new art journal. I will show some art I made in it. I am still a bit experiencing, so it is not always perfect. I was excited when I discovered some nice video’s about neurological art. It is very inspiring.

It was my first attempt in this journal. the paper 300 gr. is very absorbing. The colors were made with ecoline brush pens and a black fineliner.

I hope you will enjoy it. Alice

Cards

I am experimenting with my ecoline brush pens on drawing paper. I made some cards to thank or congratulate a few people. It is very easy with the brush pens coloring the cards. The colors are very bright and thick drawing paper is very suitable for ecoline drawings. On pinterest I found many nice examples of homemade cards. It is easy to follow or use them as inspiration source.

I think I like the chicken card most. It looks like they are very surprised to find 3 eggs in their yard. The flowers are my first try out of the brush pens.

I also have to exercise a bit more on my hand lettering skills. Alice

Thank You
Happy Birthday

Striped flowers

Last year I received a gift from my son, new ecoline brush pens in 29 colors and I am trying them out on all kinds of aquarelle paper. Below some of my test drawings.

Left: thick studio aquarelle paper, middle: first attempt on regular aquarelle paper, right: middle aquarelle paper

All used papers have there own problems and odds. Sometimes they absorb very fast the water and paint, other paper absorbs the water very slowly and need to dry longer. Also the fineliner is not always absorbed quickly or even faded out a bit. Yet the result is still nice enough and the colors are in reality more distinct.

In my stash I found a little photo album with clear slipcovers. It is perfect to store the pictures when they are dry. The colors made to fade out in clear daylight, so they have to be kept in the dark.

The pictures are made with ecoline brush pens and finished with fineliner. I also use a water brush. Alice
